Hello I am Lea-Anne Cunningham, and I am

SOCIALLY ARTWARD

I am incredibly introverted and awkward in social gatherings. I am also an artist. It has taken me a while to call myself that, and even though I have a long way to go artistically it is what I am more than anything.

I paint mainly in acrylics, although I tend to experiment with oils and other products. I was born in Kincardine, and raised in Port Elgin Ontario where the beautiful sunsets always inspire me. I am a geek and that has greatly influenced what I work on. I have been drawing for as long as I could remember and as a child I would look forward to visiting my aunt in Mississauga so I could draw Disney characters with her.

I am a full time mom with two rowdy boys, and I paint as often as I can (usually involving the oldest as he love to paint with me.) I studied Art Foundations at Sheridan College and had an experience that is eerily captured in Art School Confidential, minus the murders. It took me a long time to recover from how disheartening it was to go to art school. I then took Police Foundations and then majored in Criminology at the University of Western Ontario.
